Crisis Services

Any call to HHSI after normal business hours is answered by a professional medical answering service. After initial triage, when necessary, the answering service will arrange for telephone contact with a licensed behavioral health clinician to assist the caller within 10 minutes.

In the gravest of circumstances HHSI has the capacity to summon a mental health professional to the site (within a six town service area) of an unresolved crisis between 9am and 10pm. This ancillary capability also includes maintenance of an available respite bed within the HHSI system.
